Frank Breitinger won the FBTI award of excellence 2015 with his dissertation “On the utility of bytewise approximate matching in computer science with a special focus on digital forensics investigations”. This annually award was granted by the German-wide board of computer science faculties of Universities of applied science (Fachbereichstag Informatik, FBTI) and is endowed with a price money of 1.000 EUR.
FBTI represents more than 60 computer science departments at universities of applied sciences / polytechnics with more than 100 courses, 1,000 professors and more than 30,000 students.
